We offer three types of dentures at Door County Dental Care: Immediate denture, removable partial denture, and implant supported. Immediate dentures are placed on the same day that the teeth are removed. At the first appointment, we will get an impression and choose a color. At the second appointment, we will insert the immediate denture. Adjustments may be needed. It is very possible a reline will be needed 3-6 months after the insert because the shape of your bone changes as it heals. A removable partial denture replaces one or more teeth and is less expensive that an attached bridge. A removable partial denture should be taken out every night to give your gum tissue a break and for cleaning. An implant supported denture uses implants to pose as a tooth root to help support a denture that utilizes holding caps and snap-on components. An implant supported denture is very stable, which eliminates the use of denture adhesive. If you have any questions regarding the different types of dentures or prices, please contact Door County Dental Care.
